Selling your electronics with GadgetPickup is easy. Submit your device details on our website, get a quote, and ship the device to us. We handle the rest with clear updates. Find all the details on our How It Works page.
Selling
Our device grading guide is designed to be user-friendly. If you’re uncertain about your gadget’s condition, just choose the option that seems closest. Once we receive your device, we’ll evaluate it and contact you if we need to adjust the grading.
To lock in your trade-in quote, please ship your device within 14 days from when the offer is issued. If more than 14 days pass, a reassessment may be necessary to reflect current market conditions.
At this time, trade-ins are limited to devices shipped from the United States. We’re not able to accept international shipments yet.
There’s no restriction on how many devices you can trade in, so you can sell as many as you wish. For bulk transactions involving 10 or more items, please get in touch with us prior to creating an offer. All bulk sales require final approval and may be subject to cancellation based on our discretion.
We don’t accept blacklisted or iCloud/Google/FRP/MDM locked devices.
Shipping
When you’ve prepared your device and packaged it for shipping, deliver it to the closest carrier location that matches with your provided shipping label. We strongly recommend avoiding automated drop-off locations and instead opting for a staffed carrier location where you can obtain a receipt as proof that your package was successfully received.
If you prefer faster delivery, you can independently purchase an expedited shipping label for your package. To ensure smooth processing, please include our provided shipping label inside the box, as this allows us to quickly identify and process your shipment upon arrival.
You can track your shipment with the tracking number on your shipping label. After we receive and scan your package, an email confirmation will be sent to you automatically.
When you complete the trade-in quote process and proceed through checkout, a shipping label will be available for download directly at checkout or included in the trade-in quote summary confirmation email sent to you afterward. For USPS shipments, a QR code is offered if you don’t have a printer.
While we don’t supply packing materials, you’re welcome to use any sturdy box you have on hand to securely package your device.
If you want to retain your accessories, cases, or other extras, please don’t include them, as we recycle items like cases, SIM cards, and SD cards when your device arrives. If you ask for your device back, we’ll make every effort to return all items sent, though we can’t guarantee it. Any required chargers will always be included with the returned device.
Your SIM card isn’t required for our device evaluation, so please take it out before sending your phone. If you accidentally include it, we’ll securely dispose of it during the inspection process.
All shipments come with standard insurance for up to $100. If you require additional coverage, you must purchase your own shipping label with the desired insurance level. Please ensure your device is securely packaged, as we cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from improper packaging.
We strongly discourage purchasing your own shipping label, as this prevents us from ensuring insurance coverage for your package, and we’re unable to reimburse you due to our discounted bulk shipping rates with carriers.
If you still prefer to use your own label, please ensure our provided shipping label is included inside the box to allow for faster identification and processing of your shipment upon arrival.
Insurance claims can be filed only for devices that were securely packaged, shipped using our prepaid shipping labels, and damaged or lost due to transit mishandling. Standard insurance covers up to $100.
Packages arriving empty, with missing or incorrect items, or inadequately packed are not eligible for coverage. If you opted for your own shipping label, you’ll need to verify insurance options directly with your chosen carrier.
Don’t worry — you don’t need a printer to ship your item. If you’re using a USPS label, we’ll send you a special QR code along with your shipping confirmation.
Just take your package and the QR code (on your phone) to any USPS location. Show the QR code to a USPS clerk, and they’ll scan it and print the label for you right there. This option is perfect if you don’t have access to a printer or prefer not to deal with printing at all.
That’s completely fine. Shipping carriers like USPS or UPS verify the actual weight and size of your package when they receive it. They charge us based on those final measurements, not what’s originally on the label. So there’s no need to stress if your package ends up being a bit heavier — we’ve got it covered.
Inspection
Our inspection specialists carefully check your device to confirm its model, carrier, capacity, and condition match your selections. When everything matches, your trade-in quote is accepted, and we process your payment according to your selected method. Should any discrepancies arise, you’ll receive an amended quote for approval. Additionally, the device is thoroughly tested for authenticity, checked for financing or lost/stolen reports, and assessed for water damage and battery health to ensure a fair evaluation.
We do not perform any repairs or open your device during the evaluation process, as it remains entirely your property until the trade-in is finalized and we have officially purchased it.
In case you haven’t performed a factory reset on your device before shipping, as we recommend, there’s no need to be concerned. Once your device reaches our facility, our inspection process includes securely wiping all personal data to protect your privacy, ensuring no information remains on the device.
After inspection, your trade-in quote might be adjusted if the device’s condition, model, or specs differ from the information you provided when requesting the offer.
If you don’t agree with the adjusted quote, you can ask for a second inspection. A different specialist will review your device, and the quote may be updated or stay the same. You can then choose to accept it or have your device returned.
Payment
At checkout, you’ll select from five payment methods: Zelle, Bank Transfer, Check, PayPal, or Gift Card. Following a successful inspection of your device, we initiate payment within 24 hours to ensure quick delivery.
If you’d like faster inspection, contact us, and we’ll do our best to process your order as a priority.
You can speed up your payment by opting for PayPal, Zelle, eCheck, or Gift Card, which include an expedited process. This ensures your payment is processed within 1 business day after approval. Payments by check take the usual 5-10 business days.
If you want your device inspected faster, get in touch, and we’ll make every effort to process your order as a priority to ensure a swift turnaround.
For security, you can only update your payment preferences or information after submitting your trade-in quote by sending an email to support@gadgetpickup.com from the email address linked to your trade-in.
Returns
We maintain a no-obligation process, ensuring your flexibility. If you’re dissatisfied with the adjusted offer, you have the option to request a re-inspection by another specialist or to have your device shipped back to you.
Nearly all returns are free, but in a few specific situations, you’ll be responsible for return shipping costs, which start at $20 and increase depending on the size and quantity of items. The cases where free return shipping does not apply are:
- Devices that are significantly misrepresented
- Devices locked with activation, iCloud, FRP, MDM, or firmware restrictions
- Devices that are blacklisted or reported as lost or stolen
- Devices with BAD ESN or financed IMEI
- Devices containing missing or non-OEM spare parts
- Items not included in our catalog or those we do not purchase
- Items that cannot be authenticated or are found to be counterfeit
Your return will be handled on the next business day after your request. Once processed, you’ll receive an email confirming the return has been completed, along with a tracking number to monitor the shipment of your device back to you.
All returns are sent through USPS Ground Advantage, ensuring your device reaches you within 3-5 business days under normal circumstances.

By signing up, you can easily monitor your trade-in offers and store your details, making future checkouts faster when selling your devices.
For security purposes, you cannot directly modify personal information, like an incorrect address, or switch payment types for an offer already submitted. To correct any mistakes or update your payment preferences, please send an email to support@gadgetpickup.com from the email address associated with your trade-in account. Our representatives will process the changes promptly to ensure your information is accurate and your trade-in proceeds smoothly.
Our trade-in quote summary not only locks in your offer but also includes essential instructions for shipping your device. If the email hasn’t arrived, confirm you entered a valid email address. Be sure to check your Spam or Junk folder, as it may have landed there. Adding our email to your safe senders list will help ensure you receive all future communications smoothly.
