How do I determine my model year?

Your model year can be found by doing the following:

  1. Choose About This Mac from the Apple () menu in the upper-left of your screen.
  2. Click on “More Info…”
  3. You should now see some information about your laptop, including the model year.
  4. You can also find the model identifier listed in the Hardware Overview under the Hardware section.
